IS YOUR TEEN AT-RISK?
Who are "at-risk" teens? As parents, what behaviors are you experiencing with your teen? What "red-flag" behaviors should you look for in your teen? Is your teen out of your control? Is your teen defiant and disrespectful? Is your teen manipulative? Controlling your household with their actions? Is your teen constantly angry, violent or having rage outburst? Is your teen verbally abusive? Is your teen aggressive towards others and/or animals? Is your teen using drugs and/or alcohol? Does your teen belong to a gang? Does your teen runaway or leave home with out your knowledge? Has your teen’s appearance changed? -- wearing inappropriate clothing, body piercing, tattoos, etc. Has your teen stopped participating in sports, clubs, church and family functions? Has your teen become socially withdrawn? Is your teen sexually active? Is your teen not interested or bored with school, underachieving? Has your teen been suspended or expelled from school? Has your teen been making bad choices? Has your teen started to have undesirable friends? Does your teen refuse to be accountable and blames others for their mistakes? Does your teen come from a dysfunctional family environment, i.e., parent(s) using drugs, or in jail; abusive parent, single parent, no parent, disinterested parents, etc.? Many parents are in denial about their teen's behavior. Be a proactive parent and get the appropriate help for your teen before they make bad choices that will affect the rest of their lives. The mission of Agape Youth Ministry ("AYM") AND Agape Youth Ranch Academy (AYRA) is to develop hands-on Biblically-based Christian programs that would have a positive effect in changing the lives of our at-risk youths before they make those bad choices that will negatively affect the rest of their lives. The primary goal of Agape Youth Ministry is to re-educate these hurting teens; to instill good moral values; to provide guidance, to help them reach and attain their level of scholastic achievement, and to help them structure a life worth living. |
