Admissions

a Five-Step Process

STEP 1: We want to make sure your teen meets our criteria of those most likely to be helped by our Ranch program, so your first step is to call or e-mail our office, (480) 471-8253, or send an e-mail to agapeyouth@agapeyouth.org to schedule an appointment to discuss your teen, the program, the costs, and any questions.

STEP 2: If we believe your teen might be helped by our program, we will send an application and teen assessment form to you. Click on Forms: Resident Application; Teen Behavioral Assessment; Schedule of Fees.   If your application is accepted, your teen will be placed on an application waiting list and be advised of the waiting timeframe. For external financing, we recommend Clark Behavioral Health Financing.

STEP 3: If your initial application form is accepted, your teen will be placed on an application waiting list and be advised of the waiting timeframe.

STEP 4: If your teen’s name is taken off of the waiting list, you will receive (or you may download) the Parent Application Packet. Each of the forms in the packet must be completed and mailed back to AYM as a complete packet. Download Admin Packet.  The packet will be reviewed by AYM’s administrative staff. Program funding by the parent(s) / guardian or AYM’s approved financial support will be confirmed.

STEP 5: If step 4 above results in approval, your teen will need to be transported by the parent(s)/guardian to our assessment residence in Phoenix, Arizona, (click on Transport Services). Normally teens will stay one to two days at the assessment residence where they are interviewed by our professional staff. If your teen successfully completes the assessment, the teen will be transported by AYM to Agape Youth Ranch by Ranch personnel. If, after working with your teen, the Ranch Staff determines that your teen does not meet the criteria of those most likely to be helped through the Ranch program, you will have to make arrangements to transport the teen back home.
