Summer Horsemanship Camp Summer Horsemanship Camp Summer Horsemanship Camp

We have professional trainers / instructors teaching horsemanship skills from safe handling grooming, and haltering to vaulting. Campers will learn to demonstrate the Western Gaits: walk, jog, and lope, as well as animal science (farm/ranch animals). Whether a beginner or a seasoned competitor, each camper will find our summer horsemanship programs challenging and exciting. The dedicated staff will provide a fun Christian atmosphere of learning experiences that encourages good teamwork, accepting responsibility, and building self-esteem, compassion and confidence, as well as opportunities to make new friends, create unique crafts, and develop a deeper understanding of God and His Word through Bible studies and related games.

WEEKEND YOUTH BARREL RACING AND POLE BENDING HORSEMANSHIP CAMPS:

These camps are offered periodically throughout the year and offer instruction for those interested in improving their horsemanship skills through barrel racing and pole bending. Not only will the campers be learning with their horses, they will also be learning more about God's Word, making unique crafts, playing unusual relay games, and having a great time. Room and Board is offered for both camper and their horse for the weekend. Please contact us if you or your group is interested in participating in one of these camps and for future camp dates!

HORSEMANSHIP LESSONS FOR ANY AGE:

AYR's Ranch Foreman, Dan Callister and his wife, Kristel Callister, team up to provide professional horsemanship lessons and horse training. They have been involved in the Professional Horse Industry since 1993, and have a strong background in Barrel horses and Reining horses. Beginner to advanced riding lessons are available. Please CALL the Callisters to schedule an appointment at the Ranch: (520) 507-1199.

WEEKEND HORSEMANSHIP CAMPS:

These camps are currently offered periodically to primarily inner city / disadvantaged youngsters through children's organizations, churches, or ministries that offer outreach mentoring programs in their community. The camp experience allows the campers to learn horsemanship skills in much the same format as the summer camp programs, only condensed to a much shorter, more basic skill level. Lessons about other ranch / farm animals are part of the camp, as well as making a craft project, playing games, and learning about the love of Jesus through Bible lessons and related games. Please contact us if your group is interested in participating in one of these camps and for future camp dates!
