God initially began forming AGAPE YOUTH MINISTRY through the hearts and efforts of a few men who had years of law enforcement and youth prison ministry experience. God gave His vision to these men and impressed on them the need to have hands-on programs that could impact the lives of hurting teens with opportunities for life changes through organized Christian-based youth programs. With God's guidance, steps were taken for just such a ministry, and Agape Youth Ranch began to take shape.
SUPPORT VOLUNTEERS

Gordy has been steadfast in following God's guidance to develop the vision God laid on his heart. He eagerly shares the vision and the work at hand with all the people who have (and will) come beside AYM to help bring this vision into reality. Gordy has been a police officer for more than 40 years, during which time he has seen the great need to help redirect young teens who have made poor choices and/or fallen into negative circumstances.
Bruce "caught the vision" and has been a faithful friend and supporter of AYM from its beginnings. He is also actively serving in Calvary Chapel, North Phoenix, particularly in missions work.
After 25 years of being a banker, ending as a Senior Vice President with Bank of Arizona, Bill and his wife Wanda began providing their time and skills in developing ranches into Christ centered Trouble Teen ranches. Bill's desire to enter the Christian mission field and associated ministries led him to receiving a Ministerial License from Desert Springs Community Church in Goodyear, AZ where he and Wanda are members.   As is often the case, ministerial duties are required on the ranches and with Bill's involvement and activity in the ranch programs, this allows him to meet those responsibilities in a timely fashion. Bill continues to develop and apply his financial and business skills by maintaining a discipline of study and participation in the financial arena, particularly in the field of alternative and real estate investments where he is a co-owner of ROI Strategies Group.
In addition to her love of children, Jan brings many years of administrative experience to AYM. She has experience as a legal assistant, primarily in civil litigation. She also has previous ministry experience facilitating small groups, connecting new Christians with ministry opportunities, and in church leadership.
Rudy brings his extensive experience in financial management to AYM. Rudy is a retired banker with more than 35 years of banking experience in Arizona, and previously, the CFO of UIM International, originally known as United Indian Missions, Inc. Rudy's love for the Lord is reflected in his relationships, as well as any work he undertakes.
Pastor Rodger graduated with a B.A. degree from Fresno State and received a M.A. in ministry from Ca. Graduate School of Theology. He also has a degree in agriculture management. Pastor Roger had been for 14 years the Chaplain and horticulture teacher at Colorado Boys Ranch. He has also pastored several churches and worked for Hospice. Pastor Rodger has a heart to help young teens through the saving Grace of Jesus Christ.
Greg has been volunteering his time and resources with the ranch since it was just raw land back in early 2001. He has training in Software Engineering and uses those skills where applicable. His love for the Lord has brought him to help with many different types of projects over the years at the ranch.

Dan and his wife, Kristel, team up to provide professional horsemanship lessons and horse training. They have been involved in the Professional Horse Industry since 1993. They have a strong background in barrel horses and reining horses, as well as experience working with trouble youths in Christian organizations in ranch settings. By trade, Dan is a professional Farrier. The Callisters bring not only their experience, but their hearts to help change the lives of hurting teens.
Dr. Borders has expertise as an Executive and Leadership consultant and is a licensed clinical Psychologist and Fellow of the Academy of Clinical Psychology. Dr Borders desire to help hurting teens has seen the need of Christian programs such as AYR's.
Bree Anne comes to us from Kansas. She has an Associates Degree in Horse Management. She also holds a Certificate in Canine Obedience Training. Bree Anne adds to our Staff a joyful spirit to serve the Lord and to help hurting teens.
Jason comes to us from Phoenix. He has a background in construction as an electrician apprentice. Jason enjoys interacting with teens and has become a faithful member of the Ranch Staff family
Jose's extensive experience in the construction industry is highly valued and appreciated by AYM. He is responsible for coordinating (and building) the building projects at AYR. Jose is also actively serving at Calvary Chapel, North Phoenix.
Dan & Vicki Fahncke, more commonly known as Grandpa Dan & Grandma Vicki at the Ranch, have been fantastic friends of AYR, always willing to help out. Grandpa Dan has dug many a trench, and repaired much of the equipment (many times) at AYR, while Grandma Vicki has planted a pretty flower garden at the foot of the Cross, as well as helped cook & serve meals for our volunteer groups. Dan & Vicki have been helping hands at most of the summer camps and at our parking lot sales. They certainly model a servant’s heart!
